Want to learn to be a Fitness Coach?

Pittsburgh North Fitness is now taking applications for interns interested in our Fitness Coach Internship program. We offer three 12-week semesters of internship throughout the year.

Our internship semesters are:

  • Spring – starting in mid January
  • Summer – starting after Memorial Day
  • Fall – starting after Labor Day

Our interns come from all walks of life and include college students, those looking to make a change in career path, and those who are just interested in learning more about fitness and like being in the gym helping people.

What To Expect From An Internship With Pittsburgh North Fitness

Learning Experiences:

  • New Member On-Boarding and Fitness Assessing
  • Program Design
  • Fitness Coaching
  • Fitness Business Operations
  • Front Desk Operations

Requirements: Strong personality, good energy, and enjoy helping people while working in a team environment. Applicant must enjoy fitness, be able to work with a team a trainers who are all working towards a common goal of changing lives, and getting members into the best shape possible. If this is you, you might be a great fit for this internship.

Internships Requirements: Help carry out and implement fitness programs designed by the head trainer and then delivering these programs to the gyms members. Internship also involves working on the gym floor and helping with the day-to-day operations of the gym.

Experience and Background Requirements: No previous personal training experience required. Certification does not need to be obtained to apply.

Compensation: Experience and knowledge. We will provide you with everything you need to know to be successful as a fitness coach.

Hours: Minimum of 3 shifts (4 hours per shift) per week. 12 weeks. But, can be flexible with schedules.
